The Verdict

A no-nonsense, print-only black and white laser printer. It's incredibly cheap to run, and built to last for years without jamming.

The Budget Champion

If you don't need a scanner, copier, or color ink, stop looking and get this printer. The HL-L2350DW focuses entirely on churning out black text at 32 pages per minute. Because it has fewer moving parts than an All-in-One, its hardware reliability is unmatched.

Basic Interface, Stable Setup

The only downside to this budget unit is the tiny 1-line LCD screen on the control panel, which makes manually typing in a Wi-Fi password tedious. However, utilizing the WPS button on your router or the Brother setup software via USB completely bypasses this minor annoyance.

Pros

  • + Perfect for printing bulk text documents
  • + Toner never dries out
  • + Very small footprint fits on any desk

Cons

  • - No scanner or copying capabilities
  • - Small, difficult-to-read LCD screen
