Method 1: Control Panel Network Setup Wizard (Recommended)

For most Brother users, jumping directly into the intuitive menus on the machine's control panel is the best path to success.

Step 1: On the Brother machine’s control panel (depending on the model), press the Settings button or the Wi-Fi icon.
Step 2: Press Network > WLAN > Setup Wizard. When asked to "Switch Network interface to wireless?", hit Yes.
Step 3: The machine will evaluate your surroundings and display a list of available Wi-Fi networks (SSIDs). Pick yours from the list.
Step 4: Enter your Wi-Fi password carefully using the keypad or touch screen. Remember that passwords are case-sensitive. Select OK or Apply.
Step 5: A connection message should appear stating "Connected", and a small Print Report may even print, confirming success.

Step 1: Assemble your printer, run through the basic ink and paper installation, and turn the printer on.
Step 2: Ensure your smartphone is connected to your local network and Bluetooth is turned on.
Step 3: Download the Brother Mobile Connect app from your preferred app store.
Step 4: Open the app and press the "Add a machine" button. The app will locate the unregistered printer. Follow the on-screen steps to seamlessly pass your Wi-Fi settings over Bluetooth.

Method 3: Linking using the WPS Router Button

If you don't feel like typing passwords and your router supports it, WPS simplifies things tremendously.

Step 1: Start at the router. Look for a button bearing the WPS logo and press it for about 3-5 seconds.
Step 2: Go directly to your Brother printer. Press Settings > Network > WLAN > WPS / AOSS.
Step 3: Follow the on-screen prompt to begin pairing. Within a brief moment, your printer’s Wi-Fi symbol will become solid, showing it successfully joined the network.
